YCA Macomb helps teen moms, young parents, and low-income families find stable work, professional clothing, and a path through the systems that weren't built for them — one appointment at a time.
Our Macomb County site was built around the specific, layered pressures our neighbors are managing: raising kids, holding down work, and doing it with fewer resources and less margin for error.
Young mothers balancing school, parenting, and the search for stable income, often without a built-in support system.
Parents in their late teens and twenties looking to build a career track, not just take the next available shift.
Macomb County households seeking employment alongside wraparound support — transportation, housing, and beyond.
Every donation helps a family in Macomb County get closer to stable work, safe housing, and financial confidence.
Donate nowEach service is designed to remove one concrete barrier standing between a family and financial stability.
One-on-one and small-group coaching that turns a job search into a job offer — built for people who don't have hours a day to spend on it.
Monthly events that bring employers and support services into the same room our families already trust.
Professional attire shouldn't be the reason an interview doesn't happen. Our closet is stocked and ready.
Appointments are recommended for workforce coaching and resource navigation. Job fairs and the clothing closet are walk-in.

When I launched YCA Macomb in 2023, I expected the need to look like what I already knew from Detroit. It didn't. These aren't communities defined by poverty statistics — they're families who were doing just fine until a job disappeared, or a spouse passed, or one bill came at the wrong time. The need here is just as real. It just wears a different face.
We're expanding our Macomb County site to pair workforce readiness with hands-on financial education — for families and the partners who invest in them.
Tell us a bit about your organization and how you'd like to partner — we'll follow up to set up a conversation.
New job fair dates, program openings, and clothing closet drives — straight to your inbox, no spam.
